FlixPop Radio Era takes flight at WGHT Radio!

January 11, 2025 - Warwick, N.Y. - The maiden voyage of FlixPop Radio aired on January 11th, 2025 and was the first ever show for flixPop Radio Host, Paul Bastante, as he embarked on his career in radio on WGHT and WTBQ Warwick, NYC, North Jersey and The Hudson Valley.


The first guest to ever appear on the program was writer, author, musician and all-world talent, Rob Errera, Author of Autism Dad I, II & III as well as "Becker Comes Alive". Errera also wrote the music for the film, "Friendly Tolerable Characters" of Pompton.


FlixPop Radio is a radio talk show centered around movies and pop culture and features a different movie genre each show, games, interviews and The Dinner & A Movie Trivia movie line contest. The show airs on WGHT 98.3FM & 1500AM and WTBQ 93.5FM & 1110AM and if you are unable to get to a radio or you are in a different area, you can stream FlixPop Radio by visiting www.WTBQ.COM.


FlixPop Radio comes to the airwaves every Saturday morning from 9:00am - 10:00am.


The show's host is writer, director, voice actor & Public speaker Paul Bastante. Bastante is a documentarian, writing and directing four feature-length documentaries over the last 8 years including, "Bloomingdale An American Small Town", (2017), "Before A Nation The Story of Pequannock", (2018), "Hills & Valleys A Journey Through Wayne, N.J.", (2019) & his latest work for Silk City Films, "Friendly Tolerable Characters" of Pompton Lakes, (2024). The films are historical documentaries about cities and towns in Northern, New Jersey.


They say that you always remember your first radio show. Bastante agreed, "It was truly an unbelievable experience being able to write a radio show and then being able to execute it", He said, adding, "I appreciate the opportunity that I have been given to work at WGHT with all of the great people that are there guiding me along the way, you don't get chances like this every day".


It was November 23rd when Bastante appeared on "The Tom Lovelace Music Experience", hosted by Tom Lovelace. The on-air interview came about when The Lovelace Show's producer, Ryan "Goose" Gosiker", met Bastante by chance at Pompton day on September 5th, 2025. They struck up a conversation there and after some communications he was booked to appear on the show to promote the music for the film, "Friendly Tolerable Characters" of Pompton Lakes.


After the interview, in the parking lot, Bastante and WTBQ station owner and WTBQ's #1 Morning radio show host, Frank Truatt met and had a brief conversation. "He was just a chill guy and an easy conversation", Bastante said. One thing led to another and after communicating with WTBQ Station Manager, Taylor Sterling, He was offered the "Opportunity of a lifetime", which was accepted immediately.


Bastante is also the president of Silk City Films and United Tips of America, a business networking organization operating in North Jersey. He has been working in video and film for the last ten years. This video is The Season One Episode One first time for FlixPop Radio and each show will be published here after it airs.


Appearing on the show each week are contributors who bring reviews and recommendations for podcasts, reality TV shows and more. There is The"Officially Reviewed" segment with Alison Lukin of Officially Social Media, The "Reality Wrap Up with actor and reality TV junkie, Shelli Williams and The "People's Podcast Report" with Podcast guru and producer, Santiago of ANJ Studios.


Host Paul Bastante plays a game with his guests called, "Yes No Either Or?". He fires questions at his guest all based on the genre of the day. The game serves to introduce and break the ice for guest and the listeners. Listeners to The FlixPop Radio Show have the opportunity to play, "The FlixPop Movie Line Contest". A line from a movie of the show's genre is given. The first caller to identify the movie where the quote is uttered correctly, wins "Dinner & A Movie", for TWO!


The contest is brought to you compliments of Spaziani's Catering & Food Design in Butler, N.J. The winner receives two passes to the eatery's "Friday Night Feast".
