Bastante offers a comfortable and progressive style and has been engaging with New Jersey's most prominent and influential figures for over three decades. This includes performers, politicians, city officials, and musicians.

He is also a filmmaker, writing, directing, and narrating "Bloomingdale: An American Small Town" (2017), "Before A Nation: The Story of Pequannock" (2018), "Hills & Valleys: A Journey Through Wayne, N.J." (2019), and his latest documentary film, "Friendly Tolerable Characters of Pompton" (2024).

He has always had a passion for movies and radio, and he admired the work of John Facenda, known as "The Voice of God", the renowned narrator of "Inside The NFL," a football highlight show from the 1980s. "I would hit record on the tape recorder and do the play-by-play of the highlights each week, mimicking the voice of God," Bastante mentioned, adding, "I've been using my voice for projects for over four decades, which has led me to this amazing opportunity to be on the radio."

Bastante also owns Silk City Films, a company specializing in producing historical documentaries about towns and cities in New Jersey and New York. In addition to being a writer, he created his podcast, "The Silk City Podcast," and is set to launch two additional shows in 2025 "The Reset" with Stephanie Shore and "Tony T's Road Show," a podcast about the local music scene in North Jersey, hosted by Bastante and Producer Tony Talamo.

FlixPop Radio is sponsored by Officially Social, Springpoint Senior Living and Estate Attorney Rebecca Eckert.
